My Little Monkey's Wardrobe

Last week I spent some time plotting out my 10-month-old son's fall wardrobe. As you can tell, I love appliques, so he needs to be decked out! I also recently picked up a few pairs of cute patterned pants for him, so I want to make a few shirts to go match. Here are a few of the designs I'm working on for him.....

I'm doing the football truck in orange & blue for Gator colors on a jon-jon. The flag will be in the cute tri-check from Fabric Finders that also is perfect for Auburn fans!

This is going on a longall.
I really think it's cute, and it will work for both Halloween and Thanksgiving.
I love Mr. Potato Head! H already has one for when he gets big enough not to stick every piece in his mouth. I'm planning on putting this on a jon-jon, too, since it stays warm here until mid-December.
This is going on a long-sleeved shirt. It will coordinate with a pair of pants I got him that have Santas and presents all over them. I can't wait to see how it turns out!

Busy, Busy!

I don't know about you, but it seems that August flew by and September is doing so, too! Even though baby H doesn't go to school, it seems like since school started, time is whizzing by! I can't believe it's going to be October soon, but that means fall and all the cute stuff that goes with it!

Labor Day weekend was a fun one with family in town. Friday morning I spent quite a bit of time setting up designs for customers in Sew What Pro, as well as things for H (more on that tomorrow!). We have only been using this software for a little while, but it is such a faster way to get things done!

Church classes start tonight for us, so the whole family will be there....I'm even teaching 1st and 2nd Graders! H always has fun playing with his little buddies in the nursery, and it's rare that someone doesn't comment on one of his monogrammed outfits.

Our monogramming machine is actually in the shop right now being serviced, but we're hoping to get it back today or tomorrow. Wish us luck....we have lots of sewing to do!

The Big Day

Today's the big day....the one my husband has been waiting for (and reminding me of daily). College football starts tonight! Now, I'm not sure who plays...I think South Carolina versus someone. But I do know that there are some die hard fans out there for every team! Even though we are Gator fans, we live in Alabama, so it's a Roll Tide and War Eagle world down here and we love it! Below you'll find some of our newest designs to show off that team spirit no matter who you root for. Colors can be changed out to match any team, whether they are collegiate, high school or pro!

Fabric Finders

It seems like lately all we've done is run back and forth to the fabric store. You know it's bad when we made 4 trips in 5 days! We have picked up lots of new patterns, including the popular Auburn and Alabama plaids and new Halloween and Christmas choices. I don't know what is more addictive...new applique designs or new fabrics to sew them with!

Christmas Is Coming!

Christmas is less than 4 months away, which means the elves are thinking about cute appliques! Here are a few of our newest designs to inspire your creativity. If several of these look familiar, it may be because they are current season designs of a very popular children's' catalog brand! You can click here to see our other holiday applique designs.

Sew What Have We Been Up To?

While our computer was down, our monogramming machine was busy! We've been doing lots of fall items, including back-to-school and team items. Here are a few of the things we've sewn in the last few weeks. We have lots more photos to post as soon as we get them all loaded on our computer!

After vacation, we had some unfortunate issues with our main computer. It was in the shop for weeks, but we finally have it back and can get back to blogging! Check back next week for lots of cute new designs and projects that we've been working on. In the meantime, head to our Facebook page and leave a comment to enter our holiday giveaway!
