It's Football Time (almost)!

We're gearing up for football time around here & that means team orders are rolling in. I thought I'd share a cute one that a customer requested recently. This little girl will be ready to tailgate with the best of them!

Water Bottles

My 2-year-old is just like his Daddy in the fact that he can down any drink in a few seconds flat. He doesn't really eat that much, but he'll go through tons of milk and juice in a day! Whenever we're going to be gone from the house for a little while, I always pack a sippy cup as well as a backup bottle to refill with. That is, until I came across these water bottles! They are short and cute, but they hold 18oz each, so I can just carry one of these instead of 2 different containers. They have a built-in handle, too, so his little hands can easily grasp it. Plus, they're BPA free and made in the USA, so that makes me feel good about carrying it.

They are available in 3 different nozzle colors...pink, green, and blue, and the polka dots come in a large variety of colors. They can be personalized any way you'd like...with a critter decal, a name, or an initial patch. And they're only $8 each, so they don't break the bank!

Straw Hats

Since I have very fair skin, I have to hide under gobs of sunscreen, big sunglasses, and hats whenever I'm outside for any amount of time in the summer. So I was beyond delighted when I discovered that I could monogram on straw hats! If I'm going to have to cover up, I might as well do it with a monogram, right? Apparently, my customers feel the same way, because these hats have been a huge seller in the few weeks I've had them. So popular, in fact, that I'm now offering navy & brown in addition to the natural straw color. At only $15 each including the monogram, you could easily spring for one in each color....especially if we say it's for health reasons!

The Best Part.....

There are 2 things I adore about my job.  The first thing is getting to know my customers. I love learning a little about them....their kids names, that their husband just graduated pharmacy school, how they just got engaged.  Second, I love hearing back from them after they get their goodies.  It's so nice to hear that the recipient loved their gift, and it's so fun being part of people's celebrations!

I recently "met" Megan from the blog Syle Me Swanky. She found me on etsy, and we started chatting back & forth. She came up with the cutest way to ask her bridesmaids to be in her wedding using my koozies. I was more than happy to help....I mean, who doesn't love a wedding?

Today, she posted all the details, and I'll have to say she really did something special! Go take a look and read all about her while you're there.....she's just the cutest thing ever!

Congrats, Megan! We wish you all the best, and thanks for letting us be part of your big day!

Utensil Cases

Since I have a toddler, I was overjoyed when I found these utensil cases. I just knew they'd be a hit, and I was right! Perfectly sized for little hands, each container comes with 2 spoons and 2 forks. They are perfect to keep in the diaper bag (as I do), for the school lunchbox, or even to keep in your car's glovebox. Wouldn't it be great to have back up flatware for when the drive-thru people forget to give you some? I think yes! :)  Each set is $10 each, and includes your choice of personalization.

Where Did The Monogrammed Monkey Go?

My 2-year-old always asks where stuff is. If he's missing his sippy cup, he'll say "Where did milk go?" and on and on. So, I wanted to answer the question of "Where did Monkey Go?".

I've been blessed with the business I've had this spring. I'm covered up in orders and all that goes with them....creating, taking photos, packing, shipping, emailing. All of which is awesome, but leaves little time for blogging! Especially since first and foremost I'm a stay-at-home mom of 2 little boys. So, I'm going to do my best to update the blog more frequently, but if you're missing your Monogrammed Monkey fix, come over to our Facebook page or check us out on Etsy, Pinterest, or Twitter.

Diaper Straps

We came across this idea, and now we can't live without ours! Link
Designed to keep diapers & wipes together, they are perfect for organizing multiple diaper sizes in your diaper bag (like I have to do!). They are also great for when you just need a diaper, changing pad & wipes. They're small enough to fit in a purse and keep the diapers nice & not wrinkled up. The expandable closure allows you to hold as many or as few diapers as you need. They'd also be great to keep burp cloths & bibs together. Honestly, we really just can't say enough about how much we love these!

Here, I'm showing just a couple of options, but there are several more to choose from on etsy & facebook. Each one is $8 with free shipping...which we love!

Busy Bags

I don't know about you, but my oldest is extremely impatient and needs to be entertained any time he has to wait. Usually, I stuff the diaper bag full of small toys, crayons, a book or two, and anything else I can grab at the last minute to keep him occupied. Which got me thinking about a way to keep all the goodies together and keep him busy......and voila! The busy bag!

Our new crayon busy bags are perfect for any time your little one has to wait....the doctor's office, at restaurants, or in the car. Each bag has pockets for 4 crayons and holds a small coloring book, all of which are included. The bag is also big enough to put small toys, books, or other activities. Each bag includes a single letter monogram of your choice, and FREE SHIPPING. These would make wonderful Easter or birthday gifts!

I personally keep H1's bag in our car, so it's always ready to be grabbed whenever we go somewhere. It also makes it fun for him, because the goodies inside the Busy Bag don't get to be played with at home...only when the bag comes out. So far, it's working like a charm!

Happy Birthday!

Tomorrow is my birthday, and as I get older, I get more relaxed about these things. I usually hate birthdays, but since I hit my 30s, they've been much better! This year, I'm hoping for good news about my computer that crashed on Tuesday. Sadly, it's the one with all my sewing files and software on it! Of course, it had to happen this week, since I only got all my machine stuff back last Thursday. I'm sort of going into monogram withdrawals not being able to do anything! Ha!

Hope everyone has a great weekend, and if you run across some cupcakes, have one for me! :)

Kitchen Towels

I don't know about you, but I love cute kitchen towels! There's just something about them, and honestly, it makes keeping a tidy kitchen a little more fun. I try to have some set out for every holiday, but of course, my hubby uses them, so they don't stay as cute as I'd like!

Kitchen towels make great wedding gifts as well as housewarming gifts. Package them with a spatula or whisk, or tuck them into a mixing bowl for a cute, customized goodie! At just $10 each, you can make them as cutesy or formal as you'd like.....either way, they'll be sure to get a prominent place in the kitchen!

St. Patrick's Day

It seems all we're doing lately is talking about upcoming holidays, but they come and go so quickly! Even though Valentine's Day just passed and Mardi Gras is next week, it's time to be thinking about St. Patrick's Day. It's so hard to believe it's only 1 month away! We have several cute St. Paddy's designs that will surely bring you the luck of the Irish! Here are a few of our favorites, including the appliqued alphabet, but you can see more on our Facebook page. Email us with any orders or questions, and we'll get busy creating your special item. We want your friends to be "green" with envy, don't we? :)

Old verus New

You may not have noticed, but we have a new logo! We liked our old one, but a new year called for a new look. So we decided to take the plunge and go for it. We couldn't be happier with how it turned out! It's also just one of the first new things we have planned for the new year, so keep checking back....there's no telling what we'll surprise you with next!

Brother Outfits

Ok, so the first thing that I thought when I found out I was having another boy was "Yea! Matching outfits!". I guess that shows I'm a little too obsessed with custom clothing, huh? Anyway, since H2 is sooo tiny, I've been using The Monogrammed Monkey rompers to make him coordinating outfits to go along with H1. Here is one of my favorites. It's a fill stitched truck in an oval gingham patch. Very simple, but super-cute....well, at least I think so!

Mardi Gras Madness

In our part of the world, Mardi Gras is a big deal. It was actually started in Mobile, Alabama, so since we live so close to there, we get to enjoy the festivities. Schools and businesses close for the day and we watch parades, catch throws, and eat way too many Moon Pies. Mardi Gras this year is February 21st, so if you act fast we can still make a special item for you. Here are a few of our Mardi Gras designs, but check out our Facebook page for more inspiration.
